Blue Anchor Beach, Somerset, TA24 6LD
Very very deep sand and shingle beach with views across to Wales. Dog friendly all year. Plenty of cafes on the sea front. Not to be recommended when the tide is out as it becomes pretty much pure mud.
Berrow Beach, Burnham on sea, TA8 2QX
Berrow Beach is dog friendly all year round. A sandy beach, you do need to be aware of dangerous sinking sands at low tide – there are notices warning of this. About 6 miles long there is lots of room for dogs to run.

Absolutely brilliant – my friend and I took our 4 Golden Retrievers for an owner and dog swim. The place is beautifully clean, Paulina was incredibly friendly and helpful and the dogs (and us) had a brilliant time.
We will definitely be back.
