Blog 2026

While updating the site, I realised that I hadn’t updated the blog since October last year so here is what we have been upto for the last few months.

On the 5th November we started a training course with Happy dogs at Woodbury. We had already had a couple of individual sessions with Martin and both dogs but decided to take Jenna through a full course of training and then carry the techniques on with Morwenna. What has been good about this training is that it takes it slowly, with lots of practice – especially practice in different locations, so I am more confident that with time, we will be able to manage jumping up and recall in all situations.

We met up with Kim and her mum and Talisa, Kyra and Rex at a dog field near Bovey Tracey and had lunch at the Cromwell Arms in Bovey afterwards.

In December, we again visited Santapaws in Plympton and the dogs got treats and we got some lovely photos.

Our son was home for Christmas and then we had friends over for New Year’s eve and celebrated the New Year on the beach with a fire and sparklers (and 4 of my friends went in the water to be the first swimmers of the new year).

One of the things that I have started this year is paint by numbers. The first few that I did were pictures from the Number Artist site but once I discovered that you could have your own pictures turned into canvases, I got some of the dog pictures done. I did the one of Talisa and Kyra at the canine dip and dive for Kim as a Christmas present and I have just completed one of Morwenna.
